I went to a lawyer last year who referred me to another lawyer since I didn't qualify for ch. 7. He said the new lawyer would be better to serve me since he specializes in ch. 13 bankruptcies. He also said that the new lawyer is the "Chapter 13 Trustee". How would that work if my lawyer turns out to be the trustee over my case? That just doesn't seem right, but to me it would definitely help ease my stress and worries at the 341 meeting!!!

What if I used the 13 Trustee as my lawyer?

I'm not sure he said the attorney is THE chapter 13 trustee, but is A chapter 13 trustee.
Your attorney advocates for you, the Trustee advocates for the creditors. They cannot be the same person. There will be another chapter 13 trustee on your case different than your attorney.
