Listening to the cases called ahead of mine was very interesting and somewhat intimidating. The trustee was asking very pointed questions of the parties and if they stuttered, stumbled, or didn't know the answer to the question he was all over them. In a couple of the cases it was obvious even to me tat these people either had not listed all assets or were blatantly trying to hide something.
He was raising his voice at the people in a couple of them, and in one their attorney was arguing with the trustee which made it that much worse. So, by the time our case was called, my stomach was in knots wondering if we would be next in line of "the wrath".
It began by our being sworn in and then sitting at a conference table us on one side our attorney on the other and the trustee on the end. It went very well for us maybe 5 minutes total. We had received a notice from our attorney a couple days before the meeting with 9 questions the US trustee wanted the trustee to ask. The trustee at the 341 told us we were done and the meeting was over when our attorney reminded him about them <Thanks, who's side are you on? > Anyway it was the first time I had seen him smile in the entire time we were in the room. He asked us the questions, smiled at us and said we were dismissed.
All in all, it was MUCH easier than I was anticipating. I think the whole key to it was that we were totally truthful and complete in our declarations and therefore didn't have anything to trip over. So far so good!!!
