What if I have a cosigner on a federal student loan?

Will the cosigner be responsible for the loan if it is included in chapter 7? How does this work? Assuming the loan is not in default.

The co-signer's obligation remains regardless of your bk and even if you should get the Court to determine that paying the loan is a hardship for you.
