Student loan with JP Morgan Chase bank: Can it be discharged?

I know it's a shot in the dark but I noticed that my student loans are from JP Morgan Chase bank because I consolidated all of my loans with them when I graduated college. I know student loans are almost never removed, because they are backed by the government. But if it's with a bank, can't that be discharged? That would be wonderful if it could.

It's a long shot, but I thought I would ask.

    Thanks so much.

Noper. Sorry. Student loans from banks and/or private student loans are not dischargable.

      Damn you in your TRUTH.

Yep, I had a small amount of hope. But I really don't owe that much. I have a friend that owes close to 120k and she achieved a PH.D in English.
