Listed below are several places to get assistance with medications. Some require that you do not have insurance currently while others you can use in conjunction with your insurance. Most of them are free of charge.
http://statedrugcard.com/ (most states offer this free of charge)
ALSO - check with your local county - many have County Resident savings cards (ours does, 20% off all meds)
http://www.togetherrxaccess.com/Tx/jsp/home.jsp (for those w/no RX coverage)
http://www.pparx.org/en/prescription...tance_programs (best site ever! Has all drug cards (both free and pay for service) as well as locations of clinics and pharm. companies that offer discounts / program cards. Click on the boxes to the left for more information)
http://www.singulair.com/montelukast...air/index2.jsp (If anyone is on Singulair - here is a site that offers up to $20 off your copay - essentially it could be free of charge, I use this one every month as well as others.)
Also be sure to check with your dr. to see if whatever med you are currently on (if brand) can be substituted with an equivalent generic. Places like Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc now have many RX's for free (many antibiotics 14 day supply are free) or for $4 / 30 day $10 / 90 day supplies. Even if you have insurance and RX coverage, if you use the $4/$10 - see if its cheaper for you to just pay out of pocket vs. using your ins. and paying the copay. Many times it will be cheaper to run it w/out insurance.
I hope this helps!
