I am new to your board and I finished up on my bankruptcy in January 2006. I was so worn out from the process that the idea of re-establishing credit just made me want to cringe. I am just feeling good at not having any credit cards to deal with anymore. I just recently paid off a hospital bill and also some minor bills. I finally have a checking and savings account and am using a debit card.
I am one of those people that if there is a credit card in my pocket, I will use it and pay the price all over again. For me, it's best to move slow till I learn to handle my money and take care of the everyday bills now.

That's very smart way to handle your fresh start. If nothing else, it would be good to make sure your accounts are correctly coded as IIB. I'm only saying this to make sure you have adequate credit if you need a car loan in case yours becomes unusable--high interest rates are very expensive and it takes time to get your credit report cleaned up.

Congrats on your successful post-BK plans!
