I am about 5 months post discharge and closure in CH 7, i know i need to rebuild, and would like some advice on aquiring a credit card, I have recieved many offers on unsecured offers and have passed them by without a second thought, my question is , should I do it now or wait a year or so, HSBC seems to be giving the best offer (0% till May 07) , I think this is just pitch on their part and don't think thats what I would get. Butreally when should I take the plunge and do it, (IAM SMARTER NOW!) , and is someone like HSBC the one to do it with?

Why wait? HSBC is Orchard bank that you see so many of us with. They aren't that great, but is a nice easy one to start with.
My hubby and I both have an Orchard card. Mine is 14%, with $39, yearly fee, No monthly fee. Hubby had a higher yearly fee of $69 or $79 don't remember it has been awhile now.
Once you get your scores up there, try for others, and close the Orchard, that's what we are going to do.
Good luck

I've seen a thread (may be a sticky) for recommended cards after BK. You may want to do a search - that could help you out. Good luck!BK filed Oct. 05

Indoor cats live an average of 17 yrs, outdoor only 4 yrs - you do the math.
