I used to buy into the premise that a person should actively pursue the re-establishment of credit immediately after BK, but not anymore. Objectively, it just doesn't make sense to use credit unless you must. So going out and trying to get every crappy high interest rate card is a waste of time and money.
The most important factor that will heal your credit from filing BK is TIME.
General financial planning is a far more efficient tool in achieving your goals then getting some $1000 limit, piece of shit credit card, with a $50 annual fee.
This doesn't mean you shouldn't take steps to correct your credit report if their are inaccuracies, but at the same time, you DO NOT need to actively seek out credit, it will come your way with the passage of time.
The most important thing you can do is educate your self about the true cost of credit and how to determine if you are getting a good or bad deal when an offer does come your way.
