Yup, give them your case number, filing & discharge dates, and inform them it was included and discharged in the filing. Don't allow it to reach your credit report.

I would do more than just call - send a certified letter so they can't claim they were never informed.
        BK filed Oct. 05
        Discharged June 06

Post BK (pre-dispute) scores (as of 8/15/06):
        Equifax: 549

        TransUnion: 554

        SPAY/NEUTER your pets!!

One female cat and her kittens can theoretically produce 420,000 cats in a 7 year period!!! SPAY/NEUTER!!!!

Indoor cats live an average of 17 yrs, outdoor only 4 yrs - you do the math.

Good idea, or at least use delivery confirmation (its cheaper) and call them once its delivered to make sure they 'confess' to receipt.

It's amazing to read the different responses to the same type of queries. Check out Macahs' "I may sue Verizon" post. It's almost the same situation, yet the responses are different. C'mon people, Jeeeez, why is that? Pink Amulet thinks it's not worth the hassle, rather than challenging and possibly putting the jerks out of business. Strange....

You failed to point out what was 'strange' about it. Circumstances account for 99.9% of every situation.

I think anyone who goes through a BK and tries to clear their credit up struggles w/ what to do when a creditor violates their rights. It's just the same when ANYONE has their rights violated - regardless the situation. You struggle with whether or not you take the high road or you put a plan in action and stand up for your rights.

The least someone can and SHOULD do is put a certified letter together stating the facts - that's the best thing she can do right now IMO.

Some people get very intimidated suing (in this instance, standing up for themselves when chances are their rights clearly been violated), some people just are beyond all the drama and/or energy it would take and just want the wrong to be right and some are rip roaring ready to kick butt and take names. I think that's why there are so many different opinions, if I'm reading and understanding the post correctly?

If you meant my comment about sending something certified, I can't imagine how that has any bearing on my other post - so I'm assuming that's not what you meant?

Bottom line - having to deal with this after already going through a BK is NOT fun and can drain A LOT out of anyone. In life you have to pick your battles and figure out if something is even worth it (for many reasons).

Hehe, I just woke up so hopefully I'm not way off base with what I read and how I responded.
