Movingon, please do not reactivate old threads that have been inactive for more than a few months - it's against our forum rules.
Bankruptcy law is constantly changing due to new court decisions and we don't want old, outdated information resurrected for new members to read and mistakenly think this information is current. Also most of the time in threads this old (over a year and a half), most of the posters have long been discharged and moved on - they won't respond to any questions you have or statements you make.
Instead in this situation, please always start a new thread of your own - thanks!I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
06/01/06 - Filed Ch 13
06/28/06 - 341 Meeting
07/18/06 - Confirmation Hearing - not confirmed, 3 objections
10/05/06 - Hearing to resolve 2 trustee objections
01/24/07 - Judge dismisses mortgage company objection

08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go

I've been here for a few years now and totally missed the positive points raised in this thread about these agencies. I, for one am delighted that this was resurrected, and on Easter Sunday, at that.
If I had fully grasped that these people have some usefullness I would have signed on for their services two years ago.
After reading this post last night, I could'nt sleep...........got up at 4am and signed on to Lex law.
I will give a running account of my experience with them over the coming months.
Thannnnnks again everyone.

We are considering using this service too- so I will be watching to see how it goes. We dont have alot of free time as it is- I would hate to take time away from my kids to work on credit scores. So I would definitely consider if it saves both time AND stress! Could quite possibly be money well spent- keep us informed.Filed: 3/12/08

The only problem I see is that every credit application and mortgage application I have ever filled out asks: 'Have you ever filed for bankruptcy?' How would you answer that question?
If you say 'no' then that is fraudulent and you could get into serious problems if they somehow find out, or search public records. I would just be very nervous with an application pending on my dream house, and to get a phone call...being confronted with that lie! OMG!! I guess I am a worrier at heart...

I still have the same employer, so I haven't had to fill out any job applications. However, I'll truthfully answer "yes" to any question about BK in the future. It's not important to me to get my BK "removed". Almost 4 years after my BK, my FICOs are between 810 and 840. Ironically, my new mortgage brought my scores up quite a bit.BK 7 filed and discharged in 2004 after 30+ years of perfect credit. Life HAPPENS.

I did the same for a co-worker. I used my old templates and modified the info to include hers. Worked like a charm again.BK 7 filed and discharged in 2004 after 30+ years of perfect credit. Life HAPPENS.

I don't trust anyone doing the job, I know I can do myself.

Cleaning up CR's
I tried to clean up my credit reports myself to get legitimate items removed. Some of the bureaus started blocking my request by not re-investigating the negative items.
So once I hired Lexington Law Firm. They have alot more power than I do to force the bureaus to remove the negative items that were incorrect.

Even if you did get the bk deleted from your credit report it is still a part of the public record and you cannot have things deleted from the public record. Any application (for loans, ins etc) that asks if you have filed bk you would have to answer honestly. Many loans and insurances do check the public records along with credit reports when you apply.chap 7 discharge 06/07

FLBK7 - FICO scores over 800 with a bk public record still on your credit report is impossible. No way can that be true. 720 I will believe, but not over 750.
Let's not exaggerate. Too many people here believe what they are told, so we must keep it truthful.Filed Business Chapter 7: 7/11/07
