WOW!!! I'm in complete shock. After reading this forum daily since my bk ordeal unfolded, I decided today to start looking at other forums that focus on the credit rebuilding process. After reading a thread on creditboards.com, I read that circuit city/chase is bk friendly to those with good credit scores, and they pull from Equifax. Well I just pulled my Equifax score yesterday and it was 738, another shocker. So I apply online and am instantly approved! $5000 Limit!!! Only 4 months since discharge! Its 19.5%, but no annual fee. Way better than hooters card. For anyone who wants to apply for this card, I don't know if they are bk friendly if you bk'ed on them. I had a chase gold card that I maxed and paid in full many years ago, 3200$.

That 19.5% interest rate is not so hot.............. they could have gone 12% and still come out ahead.................
Really, you are doing them a favor, not the other way around.........
Use that card wisely, cause they'll sure make the interest off of you.....Minny

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

After about 6 months of limitted use with very low balance, she can always go back and ask for a reduction (i.e. reduction or I close the account.)*** THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE--ONLY A LAWYER CAN PROVIDE THAT. ***

Thanks for the comments everyone. Yes I know, every credit card has a default interest rate, and citibank was the one credit card company I included in my bk filing that quadrupled my % from 7% to 28%. But it doesn't matter now anyways, because I will never again carry a balance unless its an absolute emergency
