Rebuilding Credit in a Ch 13

Hello, I have not been to this site in a few years. We filed for ch 13 2 years ago, and so far so good. This site really helped me when we were going through our bk, and answered so many questions. I do have a new question. I have been looking at our credit report, and it is going down. When we filed it was 780, then down to 660 now it is at 613. I want to get a secured credit card to start rebuilding our credit back, but everyone I look at will not even do a secured in a ch 13. The reason that I want to start getting our credit back is not to go shopping or on a vacation, ect. It is so if we need to get a new car, refinance our house or send our 10 year old twins to collage, when it is time. Is there a card that you know of that I should try, or is there anything else that could help our credit. I'm just scared that at the rate that our credit is dropping, in three years when we are out of our ch 13, it will be in the 200's

You are unlikely to get any credit cards while in a Chap 13. Don't worry about what your credit score is right now. After you are discharged, you can check your reports for accuracy, correct any errors and start rebuilding then. You will be able to get a car loan after you are out of BK, or perhaps even during BK with court approval. The terms just may not be so great.

I bet your score will not continue to drop unless somebody is reporting something incorrectly. My score dropped after filing, but started to increase after about a year. After 3.5 years, it is staying steady.

We where able to get a secured mastercard through usaa. We are in year 2 of a ch 13.
