Which date to stop reporting late?

Filed Ch7 Feb. 2010, discharged August 2010. The mortgage company reported this late from Jan. 2010 to Aug. 2010. Is this correct or should I dispute it from February on. Is it the file date or discharge date? Thanks. ~C~

Were you really late or is this an error on their part? If not then when were you first late on your mortgage? When did you bring your mortgage current? These questions can help you get better answers.

It should report from Feb 2010 as IIB zero balance. Lates should stop as well.

Thanks for responding. We made a payment in January of 2010 after they called us. That was the last month we paid. February is when we retained a lawyer and was told not to pay from then on. April 2010 is when our BK was filed, not February. My credit report is showing late From January 2010 until the discharge date which is August 2010. I'm thinking it should of stopped reporting, either April when we filed or May the first full month after the filing date. This all is so confusing to me. Thanks. ~C~

I forgot to add, if this matters, that this was our home in MI that we turned into a rental due to the housing slump to move to CO for a job my husband took after being layed off in MI. Thanks. ~C~
