    Which to dispute

Filed Chapter 13 in June 2005 and recieved a discharge in July 2010. I have an item on my CR for an auto loan that was included in the BK that the status shows as charged off and an amount past due as of August 2010. The account history shows the past due beginning in Sep 2009 and charged off in Jul 2010. The balance shows $0.

My question is do I dispute the inaccurate status of the account or do I try and have the entire account deleted since all of the other items that were included in the BK have been removed?

This item shows as a negative on Experian, as satisfactory on TransUnion, and does not show up at all on Equifax. There is no history of a bankruptcy showing on all three.

Makes sense that the ch. 13 is gone from your reports - since it was filed more than 7 years ago.

I'd try to get the tradeline removed for reporting inaccurately. Since it was included in the ch. 13, I'd think the delinquent status in 2009+ was in error. Maybe a situation where your BK paid less than the original loan, or at a lower interest, so when it reached final payment according to your plan they wrote off the balance. I think that would be an internal thing though and should not show as a derogatory mark on you in 2009/2010. Perhaps send a copy of your petition to the bureau, showing that the account was IIB June 2005 and as such subject to the 7 year rule.
