Never underestimate the ability of an email address to id you, in more ways than you might imagine.

you think??? i have been on ebay since their second week up and running. and, of course in the old days everyone did trust everyone else. all and all, it's rare you contact anyone directly by their email address anyway, you go through the ebay system to communicate since they really do NOT want you communicating outside THEIR system. so, your email address is not really a big deal since usually the only ones that normally see it, are paypal and ebay which do most of the direct communications with you. i don't think with some of these CRAZY avatars or screen names i have seen on ebay reflect in their merchandise or their being professional or not, if they got great things to sell, and excellent feedback...but then that's just me

i feel these days more like a collection agency than a seller! i have 4 email addresses and use one of those mentioned above for my ebay accounts since i don't want my "personal" stuff getting intertwined with that business.
