Just applied for the Barclays Rewards MasterCard instant approval $4500.00 credit line. Had received my first unsecured card last month Capital One with a $1000.00 credit line. I have a DCU secured card with a $5k limit and a B of A secured with a $3k limit.

Fair warning: Barclays watches your account for the first 6 months it is open to make sure you aren't applying for more credit. I have read this here and on multiple other forums about this policy with their credit card - I also see their soft info pulls each month on hubby's and my credit reports. Thanks for the tip. Not interested in opening any more cards. Hopefully in a year I can turn my secured cards into unsecured and start playing with reward cards. With my capital one I am in their "step" program. Be interested to see what happens to the credit limit.Comment

I had received the notice in the mail to apply. However, I decided to apply online because it was advertising a sign up bonus - yes it is the rewards card. Filed chapter 7 September, 2010, discharge January 2011Comment
