Merrick bank

Since our discharge in July, I have a $200.00 Capital One secured card. I got an offer for a merrick bank Visa. I applied online and was approved for an 1100.00 credit limit, no fees or start up fee. Within a week I had the card. I did read a few negative reviews about them so am a little worried. It seems they hold the available balance for a week or more even after a direct payment was made. Anyone have this card? I made a purchase yesterday and will set up a payment tomorrow as a test. Lol

Don't be afraid of one negative review! I have had my Hooter's Visa card for almost two years and love it, no AF, and only 14.99%, bets my Best Buys MC! Once you have made two payments online through their website, your payment will be posted that day and you'll have your new available balance, too! I have also used my bank's online and my payment was posted and had available balance the same day. Enjoy your new Merrick Visa card!

Both my hubby and I had Hooter's cards through Merrick bank and we loved them as well!! We only closed them when we opened a HELOC so we wouldn't have too many lines of credit open.
