is barclay BK friendly?
and how long after BK should u wait to apply?
are they score driven?
thanks
I applied six months after discharge and was declined. I spoke with a credit analyst, who did not give much detail concerning their standards but basically said "keep doing what you're doing" (maintaining good history on an HSBC Best Buy MasterCard.)
I applied a year later, so that's 18 months after discharge and was accepted ($1600 limit). It's important to note that I had only one other application for credit during that one year interval between decline and acceptance. They do not like many inquiries. I think my scores at the time of approval were around 670.

Reason: scores
Orchard Bank and Capital One are probably the most BK friendly lenders. However, they don't have to approve you if/when you apply. Time is one's friend after a BK discharge. Be careful applying for too much credit as those hard pulls look really bad on one's credit reports so soon after a BK discharge.

I wasn't able to get approved with them till about 1.5 years... I have the LL Bean visa at 6k limit.
