Got Cap One, no interest, no fees!!

I am so happy. I finally got a credit card to re establish credit. I was discharged in Sept 2010 and had been denied from Cap One and Orchard back in November.

It is only for $500, but I think its great. I want to apply for Orchard again, but I dont know if I should wait until a few months payment history with Cap One.

I need a score of 700 to be bonded for my line of work, so this was very important. I think I am at 600 credit score right now.

I feel like a worthy person again!!

    Congrats!

I have not yet been able to land a Cap One card . . . because my Discharge is showing on Trans, and Equifax, but Experian . . (gotta love this) . . rather than show my discharge . . they listed my discharge as a second BK13. So now it shows one open, and one closed . . . but TWO on my report which tanked my scores.

Regardless, Cap1 will not approve anyone with an open BK showing on any of the 3 bureaus. I disputed it . . and of course it has been 22 days and still waiting.

But back to the matter at hand. .

You may want to try Credit One. They approved me with $900 with an open BK about a year ago, and they will up it every 6 months. Little better than Orchard. Or, I hear the Hooters Mastercard is relatively BK friendly.

I have the Orchard card . . . it is nothing to write home about (they offer a $300 cl with no increases EVER . . . says so right on their site). But it will help get your score up if you use it and keep it current.
