How PINK FLOYD kept me from getting HOOTERS!

How ironic that this would show up in this thread!

I applied for a Hooters card on Sept 2, and Hubby applied for one Sept 3. He received his card in the mail yesterday, mine was declined.

My TU FAKO is 576, his TU FAKO is 585 (this is 6 weeks post BK 7 with no clean up yet).

Wanna know why I got declined?

There is a UNPAID collection on my report from 2002 for a PINK FLOYD CD I ordered from Castallan Music which was never delivered. I tried to get in touch with Castallan like 100 times and could never get anyone there to answer the phone, so I did a charge back my credit card for NON DELIVERY.

Back in 2002 when they sent it to collection I wrote the CA and told them the merchandise was never received and they assured me it would be removed from my credit report. Obviously, it was not!

I still ADORE Pink Floyd, even though my love for them has prevented me from having Hooters!

I applied for a Hooters Card almost 2weeks ago. So hopefully they will be bk friendly to me like most of you guys on here. I also was approved for a First Premier Crad in july and it's working out OK. I hope they give me the Hooters Card!!!

you should call them. that's how i found out. i don't think they give instant approval online.

I applied last Friday, called today to check on status and got the "thumbs up" - they opened an account for me yesterday w/ $1250 limit...card's in the mail. I didn't inquire about the percentage or fees - just happy to get an approval on an honest application. This is my first real credit card since discharge in March and have been working to get my scores up. btw, TU was 684 when they hit it Saturday - it fell 4 pts on the inq.

That old saying "the credit union is the best place to turn" isn't always the case. Mine won't touch you unless you are a minimum of three years out!

Card came today - $1250 cl, 29% and $36 annual fee. $12 for additional cards. It's a start, better than some. btw, Citi turned me down, said something about an open collection - gotta check that, there aren't any I'm aware of and I check my reports weekly.

I was discharged in Feb of this year, my TR score is 574, Ex is 614 and EQ is 658, these are FAKO mind you, last I checked my FICO are as follows: TR:609, EX:640, EQ: 647

They are very BK friendly. I got approved for a MC with 1000 limit.
