Question about post filing credit reports...

I pulled my Experian and TU reports. I noticed on my TU report that many of the collection agencies are pulling hard inquires as recently as last month. We filed in Jan, and were discharged the end of April.

Why would they be doing this? And are they allowed to?

Are you sure they are hard inqueries? They could be soft inqueries. Softs are typically more common during BK because they are checking on your debts and statuses. If they are infact hards, then technically creditors that you have accounts with and owe money to are allowed to check your credit but I'm not sure if its permissable as it was done after filing BK.

You could write the CA's letters and demand that they tell you why they were pulling your credit and remind them that the debts are discharged now and ask them to remove the inqueries... if in fact they really are hard pulls.
