Ok ya, that makes it more clear (at least to me) and is the same thing I said just with fancier words...

So what Im doing as of now is called a ride through. For long term with the intentions of staying and paying the house off in the 27 years left of the mortgage (we have a great fixed rate), there should be no problem doing it that way as opposed to if we had a reaffirmation agreement? Will banks ever record payments to the credit bureas in the future if you requst them to?

Yes, you are doing a ride through and yes, in the long run, it is no different than doing a reaffirmation.

As for ever reporting, I wouldn't count on it. And you don't need it. Back up and remember what is important, the payment is paying down your mortgage debt, that is all that matters and hopefully someday, you will actually own the home free and clear, whether the payments are reported or not, makes NO DIFFERENCE in that scenario and is not helping you pay off the mortgage.

Ok, After reading this thread I believe my situation mirrors what IBroke and HHM were pointing out.
That my house is "My House". The bank has a financial interest in regard that I continue paying the note the banks happy, Im happy, etc. etc. They dont really want the house unless they dont get the money.

My question is since I did not reaffirm the house in my BK, how can I get my credit report to reflect my uninterupted payments on time and most of the time a week early off my "adverse accounts" section of my credit report?

Or is it really that big a deal? I would like to buy another home in the next 2 years and keep the home I have now.

Background: Florida resident, BK discharged last July.

You can't. The credit report is correct by showing IIB.

                Basically, you can't.

When you go buy your next home, the mortgage broker will run a "rapid re-score" which will re-score your credit "as if" the mortgage payments were being reported. So, don't worry about it. The payment history is not going to be reported, but that fact is not going to stand in the way of any of your future goals.

The only chance would be to ask the lender if they would be so kind an report your future payments. Might be a long shot but it doesn't hurt asking.

That's what I did on my car-loan. They are still reporting although it wasn't reaffirmed. They don't even report an IIB-notation.
