Chapter 7 and foreclosure

I have been discharged for about 8 months now and my house will hopefully be foreclosed "sold" soon. We are moving out to a really nice rental.

Does or will the foreclosure show up in my credit report as well , or only the BK. ( Mortgage IBB. ( we surrendered the home.) as it currently states.

On your credit report, only the BK should appear. I have heard otherwise but you can dispute the notation and it should be removed. Any activity on your mortgages after your BK filing date cannot be reflected.

There is dispute about whether the foreclosure can show up as a public record. But as was pointed out, the trade lien that is the mortgage should only read IIB.

Note, the foreclosure can show up in other types of searches. But realistically, you will not have any problem renting.
