    Credit One CC?

Anyone have any experience with this card? After getting denied for an Orchard Bank Secured I applied for this Credit One and they approved me for a $300 unsecured, 75 1st year fee and $99 after that. Just wondering if they report to all 3 credit bureaus and if anyone has had problems with this card/company?

    Thanks!

I just got approved with them as well, $500 CL. According to their website, they report to all three. I found that info in the "About us"-section.

I did a google search on them and came up with all the bad reviews on how they hold your payment until after the past due date then charge you overdue fees ect. All the hidden charges they try to sneak in ect. I think I may hold off from activating it and try another secured card company. I was denied an Orchard bank card, im assuming because my bankruptcy had an HSBC account on it.

I doubt it because I know pretty well that a card like that is not a credit source. It is a tool to rebuild credit. If a consumer decides to carry a high balance on such a card, it's his/her responsibility.

People who used the card accordingly were successful - I found that on google as well. I'm focusing on rebuilding my credit-HISTORY and not loading up new debt. I also applied for a Cap One SECURED card tody and was approved. I'm paying a fee for credit-reporting. Nothing more and nothing less.

The majority of bad reviews on google are about the high fees and APR. Well, that info is provided the moment you apply. I'm only going to carry a balance of less than $50 on that account, so the APR won't be an issue. There are even people on google complaining about a late fee ALTHOUGH they were actually late. Yeah...what a surprise..

BTW, look at the mixed reviews for this Plains card:

              http://www.cardoffers.com/Credit-Car...red-Visa-Card/

I have this card for 9 years now. I'm totally satisfied. It even survived my BK.

But if you think that card is soo bad, maybe you can be a bit more constructive and tell us which card has a perfect record on google and issues UNSECURED credit to applicants who just got their BK-discharge?

I have a CreditOne card and yeah the interest rate is high, but if you pay it off monthly, no problem! Use your bank's bill pay and your payment gets posted the same day, otherwise they will hold it a few days if you use their website, but it is better than Best Buy's MC, as they will hold it a week even if you use their website to pay your bill! Oh, another thing I got a $100 cli after 6 months, unlike my BB MC which is still stuck at $300 at a year! Damn HSBC!

Good to know - so they aren't THAT bad, right?

BTW, what do they charge if you make an online-payment? Some say it's $5, others say it's $8 which would be a bit high. Also did they always receive your mailed in payments in case you paid by check? Did you have to pay a fee for the CL-increase?

                  Thanks, Mrs. Gov...

Yes, CreditOne does charge for their on-line payment for Express payment credit to your balance same day $25 fee!!! If you want to wait 5 days for the balance to reflect the payment (available funds) then it is free, both show your payment posted on the day you send unless it is after their cut-off time. I never tried sending in a check, they do take checks/ATM on the phone, but also charge for that. Like I said use your Bank's bill pay and your payment is both posted on your account and the funds (new balance) are available same day! They do charge for a CLi when you request it, mine was a surprise... I guess for on-time payments, and no over the limits!

I don't know why people complain about this card as I've had a good experience with them the past two years.

I applied for them about one month after discharge and got a decent limit. Since then I've had two automatic credit increases today have a $2500 limit. Sure it's not great but again so soon after discharge I'm content.

They do charge a monthly fee ($6) and as mentioned above will charge you if you need to rush your payment. But I usually keep mine at about 10%-20% usage and always make more than the minimum payment each month and do it a few days before the due date so I won't have any worries.

So I personally recommend then, no issues whatsoever from me.

I don't have $6 monthly fee on my account, just the $59 AF... still not going to complain as they did give me a card 2 weeks after my discharge and 1 automatic CLi.

The biggest issues is alot of people have reported being denied credit because they had Credit One listed on their credit reports.
