I was just wondering if anyone had any luck rebuilding credit with Dell Financial Services, after the discharge? Technically, one should (in theory) be more credit-worthy post bankruptcy, especially since you cannot file again for 8 years.
I've heard of Dell granting post-bankruptcy credit, unfortunately, they were included in my petition. I wonder what the waiting period for them is? Hope it's not 7 years ... LOL

No not at all. A couple of years most likely. Maybe a year, but if you bk'ed them I don't think they should be your first app post discharge. Capital One has been good to many of us on this board if you are looking for a good rebuilder card.
You can't take a picture of this. It's already gone. ~~Nate, Six Feet Under
Just found out that Dell Financial Services will deny any application for future credit if their previous debt was discharged in Bankruptcy -- unless the debtor *voluntarily* repays the discharged debt. Pfft.
I was able to get Dell Credit after my bankruptcy... I don't remember when I did it but I believe it was less than 6 months after. They gave me a 2k line. I did not BK them.
