What paperwork do you keep on hand?

I have just recently filed for bankruptcy, still awhile before discharge, but thought I'd ask - what paperwork should I make sure to hang on to in order to facilitate both cleaning up my credit reports and fending off those things that may "pop up" in the future? I'm sure the original petition and discharge, but is there anything else? Do the copies need to be certified in some way or are photocopies okay?

I live in Kansas, and after discharge they sent us a packet with everything we needed to keep for 10 years. I also kept the letters saying we reaffirmed and paid the house and vehicle off. Those helped when applying for an auto loan since the loans reported as iib on our credit reports.

Hmm, did you ask the creditors you reaffirmed if they would continue reporting your payments? Usually, that can be arranged..

We asked nicely, not so nicely, demanded, disputed w/ the credit bureaus and so on. The vehicle loan finally reported just about 2 months ago (we discharged Sept 2008) as having been reaffirmed, but still doesn't say anything about being paid in full. The mortgage still says IBB.
