My heart dropped (1st CC in mail).

Well I recieved my first credit card today in the mail and when I opened it my heart dropped. It is only a $300 card so it's not like it is one of the $10,000 cards from the past but it stressed me out a bit to be holding a CC again.

Well, I guess it is a necessary evil to rebuild my credit for a bigger home in the distant future but it still hate to have one again. I have really learned from the whole BK experience and I hope that I will never be there again.

Remember, you don't have to use it... credit cards are like sitting down at the slot machines or gambling tables at the casino. You maybe play once or twice, maybe win a hand or two, get up and leave. You come back again with family/friends and sit down and play a bit longer, maybe winning a hand but have lost more than you bargained for. You come back again and play some more and lose it all and vow never to come back again.

Credit cards are the same way...if you see my signature below that line is so true. Learn to control your money and not let it control you. So many people out of chapter 7 get caught up too quickly back in the credit trap. Chapter 13's are a big budget teacher and folks filing Chapter 7 don't learn to budget over a period of several years. Be careful and realize what happened before as to credit cards and don't lose sight of that because now something is different - you have a bankruptcy on your credit report for 10 years.
