CC's cancelled due to lack of inactivity

I'm coming up to 3 years from my discharge and I have adequate credit lines and have decided to throw 2 credit cards in the trash--Juniper and Chase. I'm wondering if they will close my accounts due to inactivity?

I have had 1 account close in the past and I'm curious if these will close on me. I have used these 2 cards off and on just so they don't close on me but have put them away for a few months.

    Anyone have this happen....

Yes and given you are 3 years out, I would not throw them out. Use them occassionally for gas or something...I stopped using one and they closed it.

I have enough credit...Car loan, Jared Jewelers card, Dell Card, Cap One CC.
I use my wife's credit card which I am an authorized user so my balances are all 0.

      The others can go away.

Are the 2 cards you are looking to throw away major credit cards? IE: Visa and MC? If I were you I'd throw away the store cards before a major card. Major credit cards are more beneficial than store ones and typically carry lower interest rates.

Yep, they are visa and MC. I have another MC that I use when I travel International so I use it monthly. Also, I am an Authorized user on 2 of my wife's credit cards. One with a 25K balance with a short history and another dating back to 2004. I also have a car loan with Chase although I will be paying that off in a few months.

Frankly, I am no longer concerned with my credit score so if these cards want to cancel then they can go right ahead and cancel.
