I reached a point where my wife and I decided to file. I had tons of medical bills after an emergency liver transplant. 2.25million dollars worth actually. Our credit scores had actually dipped a tad below 500, but now we are both about 520. I am now facing the rebuild area of my credit score, but I don't know where to start. Any help? I see some people who talk about certain cards, but a good number of you seem to have had decent scores after dischage. Given our low scores, where is a good place to start?

My actual bills derived from the VA not paying my medical bills like they were supposed too. I am a disabled veteran, and 100% VA covered, but they take forever (if ever) to get things done. I figured I would clear that up, so its clear I didnt view the healthcare as my right.Last edited by CantBurn; 07-13-2010, 02:44 PM.

Cantburn, might want to consider getting a secured credit card with a low limit or a card where you put down a security deposit. Remember to pay it off every month. Good luck.
This guy is the 2.25 million dollar man. His insurance failed him but what if he didn't have insurance? He'd be dead!
