    HSBC-Best Buy

Ok. I am confused. My HSBC Best Buy acct included in my bankruptcy finally started to report as IIB $0. Today I get an alert from ScoreWatch that there is a new entry on my report. It shows Beneficial National Bank. Same acct # as the Best Buy plus now it is showing a balance and IIB. Are they allowed to do this? Are they upset that they had to report correctly? I've never heard of Beneficial National Bank. If anyone can add insite I would appreciate it. Does it matter that we are not yet discharged?

I found this on the Best Buy website when I clicked a link about Credit:

    "Financing Info:
Subject to credit approval on Best Buy consumer credit card by HSBC Bank Nevada, N.A. Min. finance charge = $2. Certain rules apply to the allocation of payments and Finance Charges on your promotional purchase if you make more than one purchase on your credit card. Call 1-888-367-4310 or review your cardholder agreement for info."

Evidently, HSBC is the backer for the Best Buy CC.

Then if you go to the Beneficial National Bank website:

    Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
    Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
    Closed - 04/2007
