OK, go ahead and carry a balance if you'd like but this person is comparing my score with hers to prove a point yet has no idea what my credit history looks like.

And btw, financial advisers don't have a clue about credit reports.

True, I was a financial advisor about 8 years ago and credit scores have nothing to do with what they do.

LOL oh well... I can't complain about the advice I've read or received.

And no Logan I am not aware of your credit history I was simply comparing it to the facts I see on the screen. I was comparing a score not history.

And I will reiterate that I agreed with yours and his assessment when I found out how small his limit was and how much he planned on carrying over.

Many financial advisors have told me this. Keeping a zero balance every month is sure fine and good but sometimes making a small purchase and paying it off over time helps more. Logan mentioned he's 2.5 years out of BK and has nearly the same scores that I do and I'm less than a year out.

Once I read that you would only have like a 15-20 dollar balance we were talking about I said it probably wouldn't matter.
I agree, I've always read that it's better to show a payment history -- especially when it comes to your FICO scores.

I will say that your POST-BK scores have A LOT to do with what your PRE-BK scores were tho. Our scores were in the dumper because we had stopped paying our CC's about a year before we filed, so now here we are 7 mos. post-bk and our scores haven't even hit 600 yet And yes, we have re-established credit (Cap1 $750, BB MC $100, new auto loan).
