we filed for bankruptcy in Nov 2009, were discharged end of Feb 2010. we had 2 cards that we saved in the bankruptcy with no balance. One was a gas card that gives us cash back on gas purchases which we have paid off in full for 5 years every month, and the judge even said that was fine since we had proof and it was a daily living expense and one was a small credit card with only $500 limit which we were going to hang on to to use for rebuilding credit and emergencies.
we have been using both cards since the discharge papers arrived. And paying them off monthly. I just paid off the $500 card early in May and only had about $150 on it hasn't been used since 5/19...husband tried to use it today...declined. So i tried to use it, declined. Checked online banking nothing on there...payments current, new statement printed yesterday and available online with no message on there. Finally I call tonight...get automated services...give them all the information and it says "there seems to be a problem, I will connect you with someone." it sent me to a bankruptcy phone number that was no longer open tonight.
Is it mean that we lost that card? we aren't high risk because we can't file again? always current on that card, not tied in with any card we did file against.
