I applied for a new card and was sent the following reasons for the denial:
-BK reporting Credit Bureau file
-Serious deliq, derog PR, collection
-Number of accounts w/ deliquency
-Too few accts curr paid as agreed
I have been discharged about 2 1/2 years from Ch7. I have a mtg pmt which I have never missed. A car payment that is almost 2 years old - never late. A credit card with a small balance but never late. But it has a high interest rate and I'm trying to get a new card.
Given the reasons for the denial, should I do anything to try and clean up my credit? I understand the BK stays with you for 10 years but I'm asking if maybe I should do something with the reporting agencies for any of the other reasons but does that sound correct?
