    Credit report account history

    Hi,

Just ran my credit report for the first time after my BK.
    Date filed: 08/2009
    Date resolved: 01/2010
I stopped paying my cards in august 2009.
On a few of my accounts it shows 30 days past due as of Sept 2009, then 60 days and so on until about Dec 2009. Should these accounts show as past due dates since I filed in August 2009?
    Thanks..

If you were 30 days past due prior to your filing date, that information will show on your credit reports and cannot be changed. If you were up-to-date on your bills at the time of filling and stopped paying at the time of filing, you need to dispute the accounts to indicate they were included in your filing and need to be changed to indicate that. No late payments or balances should show when the disputing is complete.

Notify the CRA's first about the mistakes in reporting. If the CRA (TU, EX, EQ) do not correct, then notify each individual creditor. Lates prior to filing can be shown, but not after filing.
