    Kohls Card

I bankrupted my Kohls card and have called 3 different times in the past 2 years to see if its possible to re-affirm after the fact.

The first time, the representative told me to pay the $200 I owed, and I'd have to re-apply, but would likely get the card back.

The second time, a different rep told me that I had to wait 2 years, but after 2 years its fair game and they'd probably approve me.

When I called the 3rd time, got a different rep again, she said nope-once you bk Kohls, you are blacklisted indefinitely.

Does anybody have the 'real scoop' on Kohls?

Well, for starters, trying to save my positive payment and usage history since 1999. Not to mention help rebuild my credit, get great discounts for being a cardholder, etc. etc.

For the record (and I should add this to my signature), my reason for filing bk was medical - 2 surgeries (heart surgery being one) w/out insurance . I was totally 100% responsible with my few credit cards that I had, but had to include them anyways seeing it was a ch 7. I now have comprehensive health coverage and would like to get back to where I left off!

Kohls does give awesome perks with that card, especially if you shop there often!

oh, ok, i used to have a kohl's card but stopped using it since i moved to a place without a kohl's store...

you might try to find which bank issues the kohl's card. it should be somewhere in small print on the card itself.

oh, i hope i didn't sound judgmental or anything. i'm so sorry about your heart surgery, hope it went well. and i hope that now with the new healthcare, what happened to you with being uninsured won't happen as often any more.

Funny situation on our Kohl's card. We filed back in 10/2005 (Chap 13). Our attorney said to stop paying all cards. Well, we only had a $11 balance on our Kohl's card.

Had I known then what I know now, I probably would have paid it off. I doubt the trustee would have gone after the $11 from Kohls as a preferential payment, lol.

I liked my Kohl's card, but i've let it go..... In the meantime, they STILL continue to report the $11 balance, and although I've disputed it a few times saying it should read "0" and "IIB", they continue to report it...........

I had a McRae's card - who isn't even in business any longer - and they show the same way - have for years!! They are now Belk - can't get it fixed with them either. When I call the company itself though, they have NO record at all of me even having an acccount - only small balance, but still drives me insane!
04/01/10 - Hit rock bottom and knew we were going to have to file for bankruptcy and surrender our home. 12/14/10 - Filed Chapter 7, 02/09/11 - 341 Hearing, 04/14/11 -
