BK Friendly CU in NOVA

Anyone find a BK friendly Credit Union in Northern VA?

I would like to find one who will let me get a car loan sooner than later (trying to turn in hubs sports car for something much, much cheaper)

I have been asking this question for a while now... I haven't really found an answer. I heard apple is bk friendly but I don't qualify for their membership.

I joined fairfax federal credit union but when I called them and mentioned the word bankruptcy the lady freaked out.

Thanks Amy I will try to give Apple a call. It looks like a can join soley on my daughter being in a fairfax school.

You're welcome... I'm going to join NIH Federal Credit Union as I can get in there being a GWU student. We shall see if they are bk friendly! I need to quit opening all these fricken checking accounts... my main bank is wachovia, then I have a bank of america checking account, fairfax credit union checking.... lol...

Why even tell them you had a BK? I belong to the same CU I belonged to before my BK. I haven't told them I went BK and I doubt they care. I actually called last week to ask them how long out of BK I needed to be to get a mortgage and they said 2 years.

Just get a list of the credit unions in your area and start calling and ask how long out of BK until you can get a loan. I wouldn't ask any other questions.
