getting a laptop computer with 545 rating

Ok I gave up on the car. I will wait til i get a better job for a car. Now the next thing I want is a laptop computer. Who will give me a no deposit instant approval/use credit card with a score of 545? It has to be around $1500-$1700 for the laptop. Unfortunately I was working black friday or else I'd have put a laptop on layaway and just been done with it by now.

    The odds are not good.

Applying for things when you're likely to be denied makes the situation worse, as excessive inquiries lower your score. Your best bet is to work on improving errors on your credit reports and lower your current balances-you can easily make progress and see major results in 2-3 months.

i kinda need one though because the computers at my school really suck plus no one uses them except me as everyone else has their laptops with them.

I don't know what else to say. I really doubt you're going to find a way to finance one based on the scenario you stated.

there's no bank or card company that will grant me a line of credit worth $2000 for a laptop? I won't use it all just want that much. There has to be a bank or card company that will work with people with credit like me and give them lines of credit like that.

if 3 of then dont then its lieky the rest wont. nothing you can do but pay your bills and wait.

if you want a laptop go buy one for $500. you may be over spending on everything.

Normally, I would NOT normally do this. But try wells fargo..They have an online app section for "Person Loans" and the interest rate is about 30%

who else besides wells fargo would likely give me a card with a $2000 limit? Im going to work now til 10 so i won't get a chance to see if wells fargo would give me a card or not til around 11 or so when i get home.

Your likelihood of getting a $2000 limit card are probably next to non-existant. Subprime cards start with low limits.

I've heard Wells Fargo has strict requirements, even for their secured card.

Consider saving up your money to buy a laptop cash, or see if you can get a loan from a family member.

I wasn't talking "Card' I was talking Personal Loan"

They'll call you soon after you apply (from personal experience) but as the others said...Might be better off looking elsewhere or find a small shop that takes payments....

where would i look for a small shop that would accept payments for the laptop i want? Also anyone else that would do personal loans for people with bad credit like me? It would be nice to either get a laptop and combine all my cards into that loan also or just get a laptop.

just to let you know I got turned down by wells fargo as well but maybe that's a blessing in disguise. Any other place to try?
