2 items on Chex Systems report

I had my bankruptcy discharged in 12/09 but there were 2 items on my Chex Systems report that weren't showing up on my credit reports therefore they didn't get included in my bankruptcy. Is there anything I can do to get those items included after the discharge?

Yes. Go to ChexSystem's on-line website. Then make a dispute. Dispute the items as included in bankruptcy. So long as the items pre-date the date of filing your bankrutpcy, ChexSystems usually will remove them without fuss! (I speak from experience.)

That's good news. Actually since I submitted that question, I called and spoke to someone in the Consumer Collection department and did just what you suggested. I told them that the items were on my bankruptcy and gave her my Case # and the dates. She said she would call the courts to verify and to call back in 2 business days to check the status. For anyone else out there with an issue like this, the # to call to actually speak to the right people is 1-800-934-5458.

I will update you all as to how it turns out.

Update: I called on Thursday and the woman I talked to (Lanie) had everything verified and removed on Friday. She sent a letter that day and I got it in the mail on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday and asked for a new copy of my report to be sent to me so I can see what was on it. Got it today and there is NOTHING on it now! I can't believe I got this all taken care of in less than a week. Hopefully this helps others and there process can go as smoothly as mine : )
