how am i supposed to rebuild my credit when...

Dicharged in June 2009. Applied for Macys, Victoria Secret, Capital one and Orchard and got denied on all of them. I watch my credit report every month and it is all credit. Everything is included in bnkruptcy. I make no payments on anything right now. I just want a credit card to rebuid my credit. I have not got any offers in the mail except two of the ones that are like 500.00 credit limit and by the time the fees area all paid you have 10.00 left.

I suggest you start by getting a secured card, but make sure you use one that reports to all 3 CR's. Once you have that a bit of time, and the "pays as agrees" shows on your CR's, you can then start to apply for unsecured cards.

It will take time, but remember that too many inquiries into your credit report does not show well either. Your own inquiries do not count against you.

    Good Luck

Yes, a secured credit card is probably the easiest, most obvious option. I'm about to get one through my bank.

Have a chat with your bank (wherever you keep your savings/checking account) and see what they say. Check the APR, ask about the fees (processing fees, maintenance fees, the annual fee, etc). Chances are the terms won't be great, but they shouldn't be terrible either.

Use the card for small things that you'd pay for anyway (like groceries) and pay the balance off in full every pay period.

If you have student loans, that's another way to rebuild credit: Making regular payments on time.
