    Update on Capitol one card

I got the Capitol One card right after bankruptcy discharged in September. Gave me a $300 limit, even though I bankrupted 3 cards with them. My 4th statement just generated yesterday and they automatically upped my limit to $500. Hey, it's a start. Still have my credit cart with Hooter's MC too with a $500 limit.

Congratulations. I BK'd three Cap One cards ($500, $1500, $5000). I was never late until I stopped paying before filing. I'd like to get back in with them as their interest rates were generally in the low teens, even as Citi took me up to 29.9% for being a few days late on 1 payment.

I figure I'll wait 6 months, then give 'em a try.

Yes, I would wait 6 months. I tried three days after discharge and was pre-approved with the soft pull, but when I applied was denied "due to existing out standing accounts with Capital One." They also stated that with the denial it would not show as a inquiry on my CR and to reapply in 45 days? I also bk'd three cards (1,000, 1,500, 3,500). I applied with Best Buy MC and was approved for $500, so I figured I might be able to with Cap1.
Funny thing Cap1 was reporting correctly on all three CR. After I was denied now they are reporting balances on TU. Let the fun of cleaning up credit reports!

Mine were $500, $1000, $3000 and the two smaller ones were paid in full every month untill the bitter end when I crashed. Now with the one I have with them I am using it like a debit and paying it off iwht each paycheck.
