Credit Repair Company - Lexington Law Firm

I am thinking about hiring a credit repair agency to remove negative items and possibly bankruptcy record from the credit reports.

I recently cleaned up my credit reports so that all my accounts show $0.00 balance and ch7 discharge.

My credit scores are 640 - 660 ranges and I was recently approved for the auto loan by Capital One at 8.49%.

Does anyone have any experience with Lexington Law Firm or hear about their service?

I just don't have a time to do it myself and I believe that outcome will be much better if I hire a competent law firm.

They cannot legally remove any accurate information like a filed and discharged bk (ch 7) unless it is over 10 years old... if you got all your accounts that you filed on to report $0 balance and IIB what is the issue? Your just throwing away your money for someone to do what you can do! If it was old collection accounts you want removed you should have listed them in your filing.

I know a few people that have used them.. They will basically send out letters stating the creditor needs to verify the account, and if they don't- it must be removed. Catch is- it will typically just pop right back on the report after it was "removed". One person i knew had a few items really removed. Other things would just drop off, then come back on after a month or two. They can't really remove accurate things- like a BK filing.

I forgot what the fee is- but it's a monthly fee you have to pay. You could really do the same thing yourself.

If you have paid off collection accounts, and they won't report correct- that may be worth it (one person i knew did this and it worked). But as i said- any truly accurate information will just show back up.

Do a search on this forum as to them. All this place does is charge you for constantly disputing the information on your credit reports. When you dispute information, that information is temporarily removed while it is being investigated with the creditor. Then it reappears. These places work by continually disputing that information as it reappears. When validated, it will just reappear. It gives one a false sense of hope that the item is gone from their credit reports when, usually in all cases, it comes back eventuallly. It's your money to spend if you want that done but they cannot "remove" any information from your credit report that is valid.
