Dh and I have nothing reporting on our credit reports (everything IIB) and we really are in no hurry to get any CC's (very scared to fall back into that trap). But we really need our scores to increase so we can sell our current home and buy another within the next couple of years. Will our scores still rise if we have nothing reporting every month?

DH and I, just within the past couple of weeks, had our Chapter 13 discharged after 5 "long" years. I think it's crazy that in order to raise our credit scores, we have to get into the trap of credit cards again! What a racket!!! Credit cards are just plain evil and we don't want to have any part of them. We would like to just pay with cash, if possible; or just save up for the things we want.
We will finance a used car hopefully soon and also have a mortgage, but credit cards just tempt you (at least it does me) to buy things you can't afford especially the unnecessary "fluff" stuff.Filed Chapter 13 - 1/3/2005

Time is a very good credit healer....so....your scares will increase, but as you're aware, they will go up faster if you had something positive reporting. Little or no credit history is not good for your credit.Bankruptcy History:
