I was just recently discharged and probably will wait 3 months to check credit and fight credit bureus. My action I'm looking to take:

1. pull credit
2. verify everything
3. if need to dispute account copy discharge letter and send to all 3 bureus with a letter of explanation as well.
4. wait 2 months and repull credit

How's this plan sound?

Pull from annualcreditreport.com...the free government site. Anywhere else is a scam unless you pull directly from each credit agency, but that ain't free. I would start immediately. Also, it is better to get the paper reports...they show much more info than the online versions.

Don't send any BK paperwork, they can use that against you later if they glitch it up and you try to dispute the actual BK.

You can pull a report from annualcredireport and start using it to dispute incorrect items at the website of each credit bureau. Very simple to do with the online dispute option.

I would start right away. We started 2 weeks after we filed and just about everything has been corrected.

WOW start so early? I figured my credit report would need time to heal and update after the BK.
