Well, I wasn't going to apply for any cards, since I really don't want to use credit anymore. But I do want to buy a house in a couple of years. To make a long story short, a few of my money-savvy and credit-worthy friends and family convinced me to rebuild my credit. So I applied for the Capital One card and the Orchard bank card, since that seems to be what everyone here is rebuilding with.
Capital One: They pulled all THREE credit reports. Here are my scores:
Equifax: 655
Experian: 648
Transunion: 606 (not everything is reporting correctly on transunion yet)
I received $1,000 credit limit from Capital One. I never bk'ed on them or charged them off or had any late payments. I was discharged Nov 5 (three weeks ago).
Orchard Bank: They pulled Experian
I received a $300 credit limit. I DID bk on several HSBC cards, so I was surprised I got this card 3 weeks post discharge.
I am done with cards. I just wanted a couple of cards to show a credit history so that I can get a decent mortgage in a couple of years.
