    What? Is this right?

Last week I applied for an Orchard Bank Card. They approved me but they wanted me to pay them some money up front first. I can't remember if it was a secured card or if they were wanting me to pay processing fees.

    Anyways I declined.

Then dh applied for an HSBC card. He was accepted with a limit of $300 and an APR of 14.9 and an annual fee of $59.

Today I received an offer in the mail for a Pre Qualified HSBC card. So I went online and applied. It immediatly approved me for a $400 limit and according to the paper I got in the mail it says the annual fee is $39 and the APR is 0 % for the first year. It switches to a variable rate after that starting at 9.9%. We pay our cards in full every month so that doesn't really matter.

But really? I can't believe they approved me. I don't even work. I'm a stay at home mom AND we included an HSBC auto loan in our BK.

HSBC/Orchard sent me a pre-approval several yrs ago also (and I wasn't working either).

The offer you got seems like a good one (compared to some of the others they offer).. 0% for a yr is very good!
