Orchard Bank Secured Card

Hi Everybody,

I have been a looong time lurker on this site and decided to take the plunge and open an account.

Anyway, my CH7 was discharged on the 19th of this month. I am in the process of rebuilding credit and at least get a couple of cards back under my belt. I am having difficulty getting anything (even an Orchard Bank card) I was denied for Cap 1 and I tried to apply for Orchard Bank and it only pre-qualified me for a Secured Card.

I did include Orchard in bk if that has anything to do with it. My FAKO is 588 and my Fico is 600

Any ideas? Should I just hold off for a awhile? Its kind of depressing that I cannot even get an Orchard Bank card . When I first got the Orchard Bank card my credit was horrible.

Let your BK age just a little bit before applying for cc's. Maybe a few months and you will see a big difference in your scores once the reporting errors are corrected.

First, check your reports and make whatever corrections you need to make with the CRA's and then apply.

Yeah I forgot to mention that TransUnion and Experian are reporting currently. Equifax is another story...

You might try a local CU for a secured card...since Orchard declined then some repair might be needed.
