It pays to check/dispute your iib accounts!

Sorry if this is obvious, but I'm having an awesome 'credit day' and I have to share.

I was discharged in April. My banks weren't reporting 2 of my mortgages as IIB, and they were even recording lates! Well, I submitted disputes on the accounts and carefully mailed in a copy my discharge order and list of creditors.

Today, in just 24hrs, my TU went from 555 to 698!

The others jumped up as well, but not as much. My point here is that if you have accounts not reporting IIB, get them changed. It will help you tons.

Thanks everyone for putting up with my posts and giving me great advice!

P.S. For those of you who have seen my posts about my wife's job offer... I've got her up to the 580's and I'm not too worried anymore.

That is awesome! I too had similar experience... Experian was pissing me off and still had my first mortgage listed as deliquent and an open account. First time I disputed it online they denied me and said that it would remain. So, I did it a second time and just got word a few days ago that it was closed and marked as IIB. My score went from 571 to 641.

Equifax shows all correct but I haven't pulled my score with them since October. I don't like equifax's credit monitoring because you have to pay for credit score monitoring and if you want the score updated you have to pay for that each time.

Woot.... I just checked my transunion score and its 691.... that's higher than my score was before I filed for bankruptcy.... odd.

Yes, that's where I pulled my transunion report from.
