I have zero percent on purchases for a year and then it goes up to 16.9%. I pay in full each month so I am not worried about the interest rate. I am only using these cards to have post-bk positive tradelines so that I can buy a house at the two year mark. You can't take a picture of this. It's already gone. ~~Nate, Six Feet Under

I am still trying to figure out why everyone else that bk'd capital one can still get credit with them... everytime I apply (it says I am preapproved for the platinum classic) it denies me saying "prior delenquency with capital one" ... why do they forgive the rest of you and not me ><BK Ch 7 Discharged 09/2009 | Anything I say can and should be used as friendly advice and sharing of experiences with an unbiased viewpoint.

Now don't faint, but I actually agree with you in regards to the poster you are answering. If the poster is collecting unemployment for half the year, then he does the have the job stability required to establish credit post bankruptcy. You can't take a picture of this. Hey give me some credit, I did say that if you MUST have one at least make it a secured one. I just cringe when I see people actually get upset because they didn't get a credit card. I just don't get it. Either people didn't go through what I went through with those people or they just don't care about their finances.New Orleans: Home to the World Champion Saints, the biggest enviromental disaster and the biggest natural disaster in the history of this nation. Just because someone has a credit card doesn't mean they are gonna get into trouble again or go crazy with their finances... sure it happens, but not EVERYONE will go nuts with credit.
Reasons I can think for not having a credit card are the crazy interest rates right now, the unwillingness for banks to work with you right now, limit decreases...
But its not really a good response to me being upset I got denied and saying yay you won't be a slave again... because I don't feel that way. If you do, that's fabulous, but I don't. I have 2 credit cards now hooters and HSBC ... both have smaller limits... but that works for me. Capital one can kiss my heiny!BK Ch 7 Discharged 09/2009 | Anything I say can and should be used as friendly advice and sharing of experiences with an unbiased viewpoint.

So let's see you listed all the ways they rip you off and yet you are clamoring for one. My bad, good luck getting one of those lovely things. It's quite obvious to me that way too many people think you cannot be a success financially without a precious credit card.
"Just because someone has a credit card doesn't mean they are gonna get into trouble" ----- famous last words.
Sometimes I think I clicked on the credit card lovers forum instead of the BKForum. There is no way that there are this many people that learned absolutely nothing from filing BK.New Orleans: Home to the World Champion Saints, the biggest enviromental disaster and the biggest natural disaster in the history of this nation. Perfectly fine for you to voice your opinion... just stating I don't agree with it and shouldn't run around bashing everyone left and right just cause they want a credit card. If they understand the risk and they still do it... more power to them. And I do have 2 already... I don't need good luck getting one.BK Ch 7 Discharged 09/2009 | Anything I say can and should be used as friendly advice and sharing of experiences with an unbiased viewpoint.
