Where & how to check credit report

We were discharged from Ch 7 in Jan 09'. I ran my credit in Feb 09' but still did not see any discharges. (I think that was way too early) My hubby and I are planning on walking away from our condo but before we do so I want to make sure that the 1st & 2nd are showing discharge on our credit reports, as we did not reaffirm.
    My questions are:

1- Does anyone have suggestions on trustworthy sites to run our credit on all three bureaus?
2- I have a buddy who is in the mortgage industry and I could always have him run it but will that look bad on our credit?
3- What is the max we can run our credit in a year before it affects our scores? I have ran my twice, once in Feb and then in Sep for auto refi & my hubby twice in Sep (within the same week) also for auto refi.

    Thank you for the help.

Don't have your buddy in the mortgage business run your credit - it will show up as a hard inquiry. You don't want that if you are just starting your credit repair journey. You can get consumer reports anytime - it is considered a soft inquiry. The first time from each CRA it is free. After that you pay for a new report. Also, remember to have the report mailed to you at least once - it has more information than what you can see on the online reports (I don't know why, they just do).

Go to www.annualcreditreport.com for your free reports.
Don't forget the 4th CRA, Innovis. It has a lot of personal data the other three pull from and if it is wrong on Innovis it will be wrong on at least one of your other reports
Innovis provides credit, identity, and authentication solutions designed to manage risk and empower consumers and customers to achieve their financial goals

You can also get a free report from each credit bureau company by going to the bottom of the home page of each one and clicking on dispute.

I found this out somewhere on here after paying for a 3 in one report.

You can always find something to dispute on your credit report.

ugh...I just went to www.annualcreditreport.com but it would not give me the credit report. It said something about mailing a code for me to use to pull the report. I was only able to do Experian & Equifax. When I did transunion it bounced me back to annualcreditreport.com so it was a no go on that. Has anyone else had this same problem?

No. You can call the TransUnion too and order the report by phone. You may need to speak to a CSR. Try 1-800-916-8800

We had a similar issue with one of them this past spring. It is due to security reasons which I found out after I contacted them directly. We had to send in additional information to them via snail mail before they would release. You will find nothing is cookie cutter when it comes to the 3 reporting agencies.
