I was just curious if anyone here holds CCs from both Orchard and Household Banks? They are both owned by HSBC, and I was denied by Household since I had been approved by Orchard the previous week. I didn't realize they were both owned by HSBC. So I was wondering if I just have to wait a few months and apply to Household again? Any input would be appreciated - thanks!!!

Yes you can wait and apply later. Hell I had like 4 credit cards with chase, 2 with discover... you can actually have one account already with the same issuer and then apply for another and get issued another card. Chase wouldn't lower my rate on a current card I had so I just went and applied for a different one that they offered and got approved at a lower rate. Sometimes, you can also combine cards if you get them issued from the same issuer. However I don't think that would work with household and orchard because they are two separate offerings.BK Ch 7 Discharged 09/2009 | Anything I say can and should be used as friendly advice and sharing of experiences with an unbiased viewpoint.
